PILOT mooring in the Ionian abyss

Using the R/V Laura Bassi, a deep mooring equipped with ADCPs, CTDs, current meters, and RBR temperature sensors was deployed to collect observations of the abyssal ocean until March 2027. The data collected will provide valuable insights into deep-ocean dynamics and help guide the planning of the first AURORA field campaign in summer 2027.
